Valued Customers:
As part of its routine testing, the USDA conducted tests on a 60 pound sample of fine ground beef on May 28, 2009. The sample tested positive for E. coli O157. We are certain the meat DID NOT leave the plant. IT HAS NOT ENTERED THE FOOD CHANNEL.
Could you please check any remaining ground beef (Bulk or Patty) that has the dates of 8 April 2009 through 28 May 2009. If you have any, we will pick it up and replace it, free of charge.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. SP Provisions is sorry for the inconvenience.

More than a century ago, John Kunz founded SP Provisions, naming his company after his main customer, the Southern Pacific Railroad. SP Provisions’ business stretched from Portland to Alaska and included some of the finest dining establishments in the Northwest. John built his company on the hallmarks of quality, service and integrity.
Four generations later, SP Provisions remains committed to John’s ideals. As a family business with more than 125 years of experience, we understand our market like no other company can. SP Provisions knows what our clients want: an affordable product of the highest quality; a product that supports Western farmers; and above all, a natural product that is delicious and aged for maximum tenderness. We know that our customers will be proud to serve our product in their restaurants.
To meet these needs, SP Provisions brings to the table Cascade Natural Beef. This superior beef represents the best of a regional, renewable and natural product. Our beef is naturally raised on sustainable pastures, fed a 100 percent vegetarian diet that is hormone and antibiotic free.
Cascade Natural Beef represents the best of SP Provisions. Our heritage. Our quality. Our integrity. It’s all part of Cascade Natural Beef.
